A young family from Cambridgeshire have found their dream sized home at Linden Homes’ The Boulevards development in Northstowe, Britain’s biggest new town, with thanks to the Government backed scheme, Help to Buy.
Catering company director Lindsay Scrivener along with her partner Alex Harris and two-year-old daughter Lottie, were looking to upsize from their one-bedroom cottage in nearby Willingham, to meet the needs of their growing family.
After six-months spent originally searching for a period property, Lindsay and Alex decided to change their brief when they saw the attractive location offered at The Boulevards.
Lindsay Scrivener said: “Our one-bedroom cottage was far too small and didn’t meet the needs of our young family. We had always hoped for a three-bedroom home and being able to use Help to Buy has made that possible.”
The Help to Buy scheme made it possible for Lindsay and Alex to upsize to their dream three-bedroom home, like it has for many other people across the UK.
Lindsay and Alex secured their home at The Boulevards, a outstanding new development of two, three, four and five bedroom homes in a delightful semi-rural setting that offers fantastic transport links into historic Cambridge.
Lindsay said: “We absolutely adore cooking and entertaining friends and family, something that wasn’t possible in our old house. We can’t wait to have our friends and family over, so we can cook and throw a party for them in our wonderful new garden!”.
Lindsay added: “We are over the moon with our new home. It’s the perfect size with plenty of storage to cater for our needs as a young family. We were also pleasantly surprised to find out our new home was fitted with solar panels!”.
