Why make Cornwall your home?

Bursting with beautiful beaches, inspirational art and delicious local cuisine, Cornwall is the perfect retreat for anyone seeking a slower pace of life - and our new homes for sale in Cornwall are ideally positioned to enjoy it all.

Those new to Cornwall will be overwhelmed by its warm community spirit and great sustainability culture. Regular beach clean-ups and conservation events are held throughout the county, providing a fantastic way to spend time with the family while giving something back to nature and enjoying the great outdoors.

It will come as no surprise that this coastal haven is home to some of the freshest seafood the UK has to offer. If seafood is not to your taste, you’ll find traditional handmade Cornish pasties aplenty - they’re quite a delicacy in this wonderful county! Those with a sweet tooth should take a trip to Roskilly’s Organic Farm and sample their scrumptious ice cream and fudge, all made with milk from their very own creamery.

Cornwall has been a popular spot for summer holidaymakers for many years, but there’s plenty of fun to be had in the county all year round; enjoy the eye-catching display of bluebells in Enys Garden during spring, discover the exotic outdoor jungle and shelter from autumn showers beneath the giant rhubarb in the Lost Gardens of Heligan, or take a tour of Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm and quench your thirst on a hot summer’s day.

Getting in, around and out of Cornwall

Those travelling by car to Cornwall should take the M4 motorway from London, or M6 from Manchester, then the M5 to Exeter, and finally either the A30 or the A38 through Plymouth and Saltash into South East Cornwall. Cornwall is a popular destination for holidaymakers, therefore it’s recommended that you travel to Cornwall overnight or outside peak rush hours during the summer months due to the high volume of traffic on the roads.

There are frequent rail services to Cornwall from London Paddington, as well as the Night Riviera Sleeper Service to Penzance, operated by Great Western Railway. Stations in Bath and Bristol also provide daily trains to Cornwall and its branch lines.

Cornwall Airport Newquay provides direct flights to a number of UK and European destinations, with daily flights to Manchester and Gatwick airports. Exeter Airport is around 1 hour 40 minutes away by car via the A30 and offers a wider range of destinations.
