Why make Wiltshire your home?

The county is steeped in history, from the iconic Stonehenge at Salisbury Plain to the many castles, manor houses and estates dotted around this quintessentially British county.

There are several towns in Wiltshire such as Chippenham, Swindon and Trowbridge where you’ll find familiar high street names as well as a wide collection of farm shops and independent sellers of crafts. You’ll never be short of places to eat or drink, there’s even plenty of pet-friendly eateries and pubs in Wiltshire, so stopping for refreshments during a leisurely dog walk is always a pleasure.

All the family will enjoy a day at Longleat Safari Park or a weekend country stroll to spot the notorious Wiltshire white horses carved into the undulating hillsides. Or if you’re feeling brave enough, take a trip to Sevington Victorian School near Chippenham where children - and adults - can gain a first-hand insight into life in a 19th century classroom!

Getting in, around and out of Wiltshire

While the M4 is the only motorway to pass through Wiltshire, its sufficient network of ‘A’ roads make travelling around this beautiful county by car no trouble at all.

Our new homes in Wiltshire also benefit from excellent rail connections. Chippenham, Trowbridge and Westbury train stations all operate daily services to London Paddington, with journey times of less than two hours. Regular services also run between several major hubs across the South and the South West, including Weymouth, Exeter, Bristol, Reading and Portsmouth, calling at numerous Wiltshire destinations en route.

For flights, Heathrow Airport is only an hour's drive via the M3. Gatwick Airport is a little further afield, however it can still be reached in around two hours, also via the M3. Both airports are among the top five in the UK and offer regular flights to hundreds of global destinations.

From Salisbury, Portsmouth International Port is just a 55 minute drive where passengers can board services to the Isle of Wight, Spain, France or the Channel Islands.
