Benefits of new

Why buy new?

A new Linden Home offers you a contemporary property built to high standard, which you can personalise to suit your style. As well as this there are lots more reasons why buying a brand new home makes a lot of sense. Here are just a few of the best:

Modern Design

There is a variety of designs to choose from to suit different lifestyles and price ranges. You could pick a 1 bedroom apartment or a large 4 bedroom home with great family living space or do you need a home office? A new Linden Home offers you a contemporary property built to high standard, which you can personalise to suit your style.

One of the best parts about buying a new build home is that you will be the first people in your property and everything will be fresh, bright and clean. Moving into a second-hand place often means you have someone else’s style which can cost a lot to change.

Upgrading an older house to the meet the same specifications as a new home can cost around £45,000*. However, your new Linden Home will already come with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Plus you won’t need to worry about the expense of costly upgrades, such as new doors and windows.

A Blank Canvas

As a new build customer you get a blank canvas in which you can choose all those little things that make a house a home. Depending on what stage of the build you buy at, you can select a variety of styles and finishes to personalise your home including a choice of tiles for your kitchen and bathroom as well as kitchen worktops and doors. Allowing you to create the home to suit you all from our Enhance Range.

Energy efficient with added peace of mind

Buying a new-build means you'll be getting a high quality home that will not only stand the test of time, but should also save you money every year. New homes are around 65% more energy-efficient, use 30% less water and are 50% cheaper to run than an equivalent Victorian house*, keeping you warm in the winter and saving you money on your utility bills.

We're also working hard to reduce the size of our carbon footprint when we develop sites, and energy efficiency standards and CO2 emissions in new homes built in England are some of the best in the world.

Every Linden Home comes with a 10-year 'Buildmark' warranty provided by the National House Building Council (NHBC), which covers any major defects to the structure of the property, or in its construction. You also get included our own two-year guarantee on the property, with a customer care service, which involves 24- hour, 365-day-a-year call-out cover for emergencies, giving you further peace of mind.

Chain-free and less stress with purchase assistance

A great thing about a new build home is that you don’t need to wait for existing owners to leave, you can move into a new home as soon as it’s complete. As an existing home owner you can also relieve yourself of the stress of having a chain broken with one of our purchase assistance schemes. You won’t even have to worry about selling your own property when using our Smooth Move scheme. Linden Homes will deal with the estate agents on your behalf, even paying the fees when your house is sold. You can also ask about our Home Exchange scheme, which could help to get you moving through part-exchanging your existing home.
