Whether you’re looking to do some shopping and have a thrilling day out or take in a slice of the countryside, our new houses for sale in West Midlands offer the best of both worlds.

If you’re thinking of living in the West Midlands, you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to entertainment and convenient city living. Whether you’re in Birmingham with its striking architecture or Coventry with the historic Coventry Cathedral ruins and surrounding countryside, you’ll find something to keep you busy. There is also a variety of vibrant events on offer and places to explore, such as the thrilling Carnival Magnifico in Digbeth – or sweeping locales like the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

However, it’s not just the metropolitan centres that make our property for sale in West Midlands the perfect place to live. You can always escape to the beauty of peaceful spots such as the Elmdon Nature Park, the forest trails of Queenswood near Herefordshire, or the Birmingham Tolkien Trail: the childhood walks of (and partial inspiration for) J.R.R Tolkien’s fantasy epics.

This diverse and creative county is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy a range of enriching locations within a short distance of their home. The West Midlands marries the peace and quiet of stunning, author-inspiring countryside with the utility of this metropolitan area’s many attractions, shopping opportunities, and bustling cities.

Getting in, around and out of the West Midlands

Being a metropolitan county, several main roads run into the West Midlands. Taking the M6 can connect you to the M1 from Coventry or Birmingham for London, the M6 to Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester runs through the heart of the West Midlands and is accessible from Birmingham, and the M5 connects the West Midlands to Worcester and many areas in the south.

All of these routes mean that you’ll have several of England’s best cities within reach for travel, with Sheffield (90 miles), Manchester (86 miles) and Oxford (78 miles) accessible from Birmingham by car, while Liverpool (98 miles) and London (126 miles) are both under 3 hours’ drive away. Train journeys are also made easy, with services into Central London from Birmingham New Street that can get you there in less than 2 hours.

Commuters will also find travel between the West Midland’s central hubs simple – with Wolverhampton and Coventry just under 22 miles away from Birmingham, and with developments located throughout the West Midlands, you’ll have your choice of living situation no matter where in the county you choose to work.

For air travel, Birmingham Airport has stood since the 1980s, featuring its own train station and bus links, with international flights and services available for all your jet-setting needs.
