Find your new home
Whether you're a first time buyer, an existing home owner or an investor, we have schemes and advice on ways to buy your new Linden Home.
Our helpful home guides are full of useful tips and information. These short videos explain everything you need to know about your new Linden Home.
If there’s a queue to the bathroom every single morning, if your children are getting fed up with sharing a room or if you just need more space then it’s definitely time to move.
Designed to assist existing homeowners and first time buyers, Help to Buy is a Government backed equity scheme available on any of Linden Homes’ properties in the South West. It enables homebuyers to purchase a new home with just five per cent deposit and a 20 per cent Government equity loan.
Brian Deacon, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes, said: “Help to Buy is a fantastic scheme that has already helped over 37 per cent of Linden Homes customers, enabling people to move to larger homes and save money.
“There’s a misconception that Help to Buy is only available to first time buyers but existing homeowners are able to use the scheme too and it’s been a challenge to get that message out.
“Many look at local homes on the market and do the calculations themselves based on a 20 per cent deposit but what they don’t always consider is the schemes available to help make that house purchase a possibility.”
Abi Cassidy, 28, a fabricator and welder, bought a two bedroom house at Emerge in Plymouth for £145,000 at the end of June. Speaking about her move, Abi said: “I used to rent a one bedroom apartment in Devonport for £370 a month and find it unbelievable that I now own my very own two bedroom house and spend under £300 per month on my mortgage. Not only do I save £75 a month but I have an extra bedroom and my own house – it really is amazing.
“I would absolutely recommend Linden Homes, I’m deaf and the sales executives have been so helpful, especially when it comes to the Help to Buy scheme. I’ve noticed a reduction in my energy bills too, so it’s been a savvy investment.”
Brian added: “If you need more space then Help to Buy can really help you move; I’d encourage anyone interested to visit us to find out more.”
