You can buy on the existing scheme up to 15 December 2020. From 16 December 2020 the Help to Buy scheme will be replaced with a new scheme for first time buyers only. If you are interested in a home now that is due to complete on or after the 1st April 2021, then the new scheme will apply.
As with the current Help to Buy scheme, you could borrow up to 20% of the cost of a new build home (or 40% in London). The amount you can purchase a home for using the scheme will depend on where in England you are buying.
