Search Is On To Find The South’s Perfect Pet To Star In New Homes Campaign

Award-winning housebuilder, Linden Homes is searching for the perfect pet to star in an advertising campaign for two of its developments in the south; Boorley Park near Botley and Limewood Grange in Fair Oak. Award-winning housebuilder, Linden Homes is searching for the perfect pet to star in an advertising campaign for two of its developments in the south; Boorley Park near Botley and Limewood Grange in Fair Oak.

The company is challenging dog and cat owners to enter their pet into a competition to find the most characterful four-legged friend to be the hero of promotional materials seen by thousands of househunters.

In the same animal-loving spirit, Linden Homes will donate £5 for every entry received (up to a maximum of £500) to the Blue Cross Southampton pet rehoming centre.

The winning pet entry will be invited to star in a photoshoot in October as the hero of Linden Homes’ advertising campaign for the developments, such as in adverts and leaflets.

Linden Homes South marketing manager, Jo Dixon, said: “To animal lovers and their families, pets are an integral part of what makes a house a home. We’re looking for a dog or cat that best fits that theme and deserves its moment in the spotlight!”

For the chance of seeing their characterful canine or marvellous moggy become the furry face of the Boorley Park and Limewood Grange advertising campaign, owners should email a photograph and a 100-word biography about their pet to star@lindenhomescomp.co.uk. The deadline for entries is 22nd September 2019. The photoshoot will be held at Boorley Park or Limewood Grange in October 2019.

The animals at the Blue Cross Southampton rehoming centre in the West End come from a variety of different situations and backgrounds. Staff and volunteers at the centre can care for over 120 animals at any one-time including dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and other small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. Last year (2018), the centre rehomed almost 1,100 pets.

Sarah Washington, Regional Fundraising Officer for Blue Cross, said: “What a lovely way to help us make a difference to pets lives. At Blue Cross, we believe pets change lives, so we work tirelessly to help change theirs. The work we do in supporting sick, injured and homeless pets is never ending, so we’re delighted when people find new ways to help us raise money. Now people can share photos of the pets they love and be in for a chance to see them as the face of a campaign all whilst helping pets in need! Wonderful.”

Boorley Park consists of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes and is set to become more than just a housing development. With a thriving new community, it will also feature a primary school which is set to open this September, as well as a local centre including a community centre, allotments and lots of open space for all to enjoy. Call 02380 082 894 for further information.

Limewood Grange has a selection of two-bedroom apartments and two, three- and four-bedroom houses. Once all the homes are built, an attractive area of green open space with play areas for children and a small nature reserve will be created. The housebuilder has also agreed to make some significant improvements to the local church, St Swithun Wells, and will be resurfacing the car park. Call 02380 084 066 for further information.

Better still, why not attend Linden Homes’ Bank Holiday weekend Great Escape event? Running from 24th – 26th August 2019 at Boorley Park near Botley, Limewood Grange in Fair Oak or Beaumont Park in Ringwood, the housebuilder will be able to help you escape your old home by taking you through its different buying assistance schemes to enable you to secure one of its brand-new homes.
