The first phase of Linden Homes East Yorkshire’s long-awaited 900 home development in Beverley will be called South Minster Pastures.
Construction work on the initial 34 new homes is officially underway, and the first completions are expected in early 2020. A mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties in a range of styles will make up South Minster Pastures – with a similar theme continuing throughout the rest of the development.
The deal on the 90-acre site – which has a development value of around £180 million – was completed earlier this year, making it the largest acquisition in Linden Homes East Yorkshire’s history.
The land at Beverley South is being developed jointly with Strata Homes, and the project will also deliver a much-needed £5 million Park and Ride scheme for the town which will be developed as part of the Phase 2 works. Prices at South Minster Pastures have yet to be finalised.
The proposed development site was identified as a key growth area within the adopted East Riding Local plan last summer to provide a range of land uses including housing, employment, open space, a park and ride facility and associated infrastructure.
