With funding provided by local supporters and businesses including housebuilder Linden Homes, Kirby Athletic Football Club has received a brand-new football kit ahead of the new season. The U8 and U15 youth teams will don their new away kits during their training sessions and away matches as they set their sights on becoming trophy winners.
Linden Homes who has recently launched its Finches Park development in Kirby Cross has partly sponsored the Club to ensure the U8s and U15s teams are looking their best this season as they prepare to play both the local competition and teams further afield.
Kirby Athletic Y.F.C is a new Club that has recently formed in Kirby offering training, coaching and competitive matches attended by 32 keen young players aged between seven and 15. The newly formed club branched out from Frinton and Walton Y.F.C to cater for local youngsters in the Kirby Cross and Kirby Le Soken areas who previously had limited choice and needed to travel to Frinton, Clacton or further afield to partake in the sport.
Geoff Hardes, Treasurer & U8s Manager, from Kirby Athletic Youth FC said: “As a small and new club, we are lucky enough to receive such great support from many local businesses which is essential to the growth and success of the Club. With thanks to Linden Homes and these businesses, it is fantastic that our youth teams can wear new kits with such pride each season. The teams have been training hard for the upcoming season and we wish them every success in our season ahead.”
