Developer Vistry Housebuilding Yorkshire is strengthening its regional team, with two key promotions and appointments to the board of directors.
Tom Pardey moves from the technical manager role to that of head of technical, while Jade Pexman takes up the position of head of commercial, a step up from her role as commercial manager.
Collectively, Tom and Jade have been with the company ?" now part of Vistry Group which includes Bovis Homes and Linden Homes ?" for almost 20 years.
Jade has worked for the company in its various forms for 16 years, joining as an office junior at the age of 16!
She said: “I have always been supported in my development as my career aspirations have evolved. The company encourages promotion from within and fully supports staff in achieving their full potential.
“As a woman in my early 30s with a young family, I have been able to work my way up through the evolving business and I hope to bring a different dynamic and approach to the role.”
Jade will head up the commercial function within the regional business, something she has already been involved with progressing, and says she is looking forward to being involved at board level and offering her input.
Tom’s promotion comes after almost three years with the company, when he joined as an engineering manager. He said: “The company puts a strong emphasis on professional development and progression from the top down.
“This includes support of trainees and apprentices, as well as support from management teams for progression of those internally as an alternative to employing external replacements.
“I’ve seen this first hand in 2020, when I was given the opportunity to develop and take over managing the technical team to then progress to heading the technical team.”
Tom added: “I’m looking forward to working on some forthcoming new sites, alongside the team as we develop them through planning stages and onto site.
“I think my experience in other construction industries prior to moving into housebuilding gives me a different approach and view to the projects.”
Regional managing director Scott Stothard said: “Tom and Jade will offer further experience and energy to what is an already vibrant board of directors. I see their promotion as another step to the Vistry Yorkshire region becoming even stronger.”
