Players from a youth football team officially opened the showhome at a new housing development in West Bridgford.
Youngsters from Holy Spirit Celtic Sports Club, which is sponsored by national housebuilder Linden Homes, were invited to cut the ribbon on the developer’s four-bedroom showhome at Wilford Fields, located off Wilford Lane.
Linden Homes is currently building a total of 121 private homes at Wilford Fields, where the first residents are set to move into their homes in September.
Linda Huntington, Head of Sales for Linden Homes East Midlands, said: “We were thrilled to open our new Jacksdale showhome at Wilford Fields and we were delighted that players from Holy Spirit Celtic Sports Club were able to join us to mark the occasion.
“As a sponsor of three junior teams, we have a strong affiliation with the club, so it was great to continue that relationship by inviting the players to cut the ribbon at the launch.
“Our showhome, which stands beside a new five-bedroom viewhome at the development, will give our visitors an insight into the types of home we are building in West Bridgford.
“We are now looking forward to completing the first homes before welcoming residents to the development in late September.”
Linden Homes held a special open evening on Friday 24th August for its first buyers to have a look around the new showhome at the development.
Holy Spirit Celtic Sports Club, who play their home matches at the Becket School’s playing fields, have three separate teams sponsored by Linden Homes.
Nigel Rowden, Chairman of Holy Spirit Celtic Sports Club, said: “Linden Homes sponsors three of our youth teams in West Bridgford and we were happy to accept their invitation to mark the opening of their new showhome.
“The players who were able to attend were excited to cut the ribbon outside the showhome and really enjoyed the tour around the home, especially the room which had been decorated as a child’s room.”
The current selection of homes available at Wilford Fields range from two-bedroom to five-bedroom houses.
Linden Homes’ sales and marketing suite, which is located off Wilford Lane, is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
