After 20 years of living in a mid-townhouse in an inner city setting, Tricia and Mark Bulter decided it was time to move on and find their ‘forever home’.
The couple wanted peace of mind and value for money – and opted for a brand new property at Linden Homes West Yorkshire’s Manor Park development in Pontefract.
Tricia, a part time training supervisor for a charity, explained: “We wanted a really easy transition as neither of us relished the moving process. We thought a new build house would offer us peace of mind, and combined with a part exchange, would lessen the possibilities of a difficult move.
“My brother has lived in Pontefract for many years and with great transport links to our jobs in Leeds, plus more for your money than Leeds we thought we'd take a look around.”
Tricia and Mark opted for a stylish and spacious four-bedroom detached home which suits their lifestyle, in particular entertaining friends and Tricia’s fondness of baking!
She added: “Linden Homes really supported me with this as our original kitchen design had a built under oven. However, I have a back condition making it difficult to bend down to look in the oven properly. They pulled out all the stops to organise an eye level oven so I can enjoy my baking. They fitted it within days so it was ready when we moved in. Genuine customer service and going the extra mile that's pretty rare these days!”
And as a personal thank you to members of the sales and site teams who have been involved with the house build and Butler’s customer journey, Tricia has been baking bread for fresh bacon sandwiches for them to tuck into.
The couple say they have happy memories of their previous home, but are relishing their new property, complete with a spacious garden with room to grow fruit trees, and love the overall rural feel of the development.
