A local housebuilder has been helping the local community in Falfield, near its Falfield Grange development.
Linden Homes has donated spare materials for community initiatives including top soil for a local garden project by The Huntsman Inn, plus pallets, wood and bricks for bug hotels as part of an ecology initiative.
Local resident, Siân Hogg commented: “We’re so grateful for the materials donated by Linden Homes and it’s made a real difference to our projects. It’s been a proper community affair with volunteers helping and materials being donated ?" it’s wonderful to see what can be achieved locally when everyone rolls up their sleeves.”
Assistant site manager, Connor Punyer added: “We always try to support the local community near to our developments. We’ve donated the village Christmas tree to Falfield Village Hall for the past three years, as well as a potted Christmas tree for the residents at Falfield Grange and given money towards the windows at St George’s Church. However, it’s also nice to make a difference by donating materials we have on site and the community initiatives that have been organised have been really impressive.”
In addition, Falfield Grange will support the local community by contributing £1.66m towards facilities at Moreton Ground at Tortworth, education, highways and a local travel plan. The development is also providing public open space, a play park, a play area, an orchard, allotments and hedgehog highways on site ?" to ensure hedgehogs can travel safely.
Situated in a picturesque village location near Thornbury, Falfield Grange is an attractive development of 85 homes, with many amenities nearby, including a pub, post office, shop, church and village hall. With 65 per cent of the development already sold, there are currently four and five bedroom homes available, with stamp duty paid on all homes.^*
