Stylish New Homes In Picturesque, Rural Oxfordshire
04 Jun 2013

Linden Homes has launched the much anticipated phase three of its beautiful Cholsey Meadows development. This new phase includes a mix of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes. The apartments and three bedroom homes are currently being sold off plan and are already proving extremely popular with just a few apartments left.

The new three bedroom show home, ‘The Poacher’ in the south Oxfordshire village of Cholsey will be ready to view from early summer. This stylish terraced home has a master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Also on the second floor are two further bedrooms, one which could be used as a study area.

On the ground floor there is a spacious kitchen and breakfast area with a separate living and dining room making a perfect space for family living. Patio doors from the living/dining area lead onto the rear garden. A collection of 10 Poacher homes will be available to buy.

There are several schemes currently available that could help to make buying at Cholsey Meadows a reality.

The brand new Help to Buy* scheme – launched by the Government this spring – includes all new properties valued up to £600,000 and is available to first time buyers and those already on the property ladder looking for a step up.

Help to Buy is an equity scheme that enables buyers to purchase a new home with just 5% deposit and a 20% Government equity loan – a loan that can be repaid at any time within the first 25 years. An equity loan is effectively a second mortgage in the form of a lump sum.

So, you provide the 5% deposit, your mortgage company lends you 75% of the value of the house, leaving 20%, which is the portion that the Government will lend to you - interest free - for five years.

For those with a home to sell, there is the Linden Homes Part Exchange Scheme*. Under this scheme, Linden Homes becomes your guaranteed buyer so that you don’t have to worry about marketing your old home, viewings, estate agents or their fees. Linden Homes will offer you the market value of your home so you are freed up to go ahead and buy your new home at Cholsey Meadows.

Cholsey Meadows is set in a most beautiful village location. It overlooks open fields and meadows and has a quiet track leading straight down to the bank of the River Thames.

This extraordinary situation gives Cholsey Meadows a real feeling of community, freedom and space – and this sense of space is echoed in the carefully designed and beautifully finished grounds and homes that are being built here.

Cholsey railway station is within walking distance and provides services from Reading to Didcot and Oxford. Oxford is 12 miles to the north and Reading 14 miles to the south.
