Although they are very different developments, Linden Homes’ Nash Mills Wharf near Kings Langley and King Harry Park in St Albans have both been selling extremely well. The beautiful one and two bedroom apartments at Nash Mills Wharf have proved very popular – in fact phase one of the Lockside apartments has now sold out.
At King Harry Park, the homes, which include 2,3,4 and 5 bedroom properties, are also selling fast with only two five bedroom houses remaining. King Harry Park is in the heart of beautiful and historic St Albans. It is just fifteen minutes from the city centre. The appeal of this city never wanes and in purely practical terms this is in part due to the fact that you can commute easily to work – to London or elsewhere.
Gary Mannion lives in a two bedroom Linden Homes’ apartment in St Albans - at the Mosaic development - and, like the homes at Nash Mills Wharf, these apartments are light and spacious and beautifully designed for modern living.
Gary has been so impressed with the Linden Homes’ product that this is his second Linden Home. He originally bought a one bedroom flat at Mosaic in the first phase. When his circumstances changed and he had to sell that apartment, he immediately bought another Linden Homes’ home at Mosaic:
“I moved in to my new two bedroom apartment on the 18th December. This is such a great location in a great city. And I really love the good quality of the build. I work in Cheshunt at the Tesco Head Office and I only have to walk two minutes to the station. Door to door I think my commute is about 35 minutes.
“When I saw this apartment for the first time, I reserved it straight away. It was very simple and straightforward. I used the Help to Buy* scheme, which was very easy to sort out. You imagine that if you are dealing with a scheme that uses government funding that there will be lots of hoops to jump through and loads of forms and phone calls to deal with. But actually I think I had to fill in one form and make one telephone call. It was very simple.
“And that is just as well, because it wouldn’t have been possible for me to buy the new apartment without Help to Buy. The scheme demanded a smaller deposit than I’d expected and it meant I could get a better mortgage rate.”
Gary loves being in St Albans – and he loves the build quality of his apartment:
“I am on the sixth floor and I overlook lots of fields. I have three balconies and one of them wraps around the living room. The apartment is light and airy and I have my own parking space. Actually parking isn’t a problem as there’s some visitor parking, some street parking and a nearby NCP car park. My apartment has two bedrooms, a main bathroom and an ensuite bathroom.
“I am particularly impressed with the kitchen. All Linden Homes have fully integrated kitchens – and the appliances are all there when you move in. This is great because you don’t have to immediately go out and buy thousands of pounds worth of stuff to start with. It’s all installed. I like the fact that the kitchen has been designed around the appliances, so it is very streamlined and there is lots of space and storage. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen – and I particularly like my double oven!”
As a returning customer, Gary has had a lot to do with the Linden Homes’ staff – and he has been impressed with the service he has received on both occasions:
“I found the sales staff incredibly helpful – both times that I bought a Linden Homes’ apartment. In fact I would say that the Linden Homes’ team couldn’t do enough to help.”
The apartments at Nash Mills Wharf have all sold however Linden Homes will be releasing the next phase early next year.
