In true Christmas spirit Linden Homes Thames Valley has donated an array of gifts to the children at Helen & Douglas House, a children’s hospice in Oxford. Kind-hearted members of the public responded generously to Linden Homes’ Christmas Appeal for gifts to donate to the children after calling out to the local community to come forward with presents. The housebuilder delivered the goodies to the hospice earlier this week.
Linden Homes ran the appeal to help put a smile on the faces of local terminally ill children and their families, with some festive excitement. The selection of new toys and games will be used by these children who come to stay at the hospice for respite care, to spread some cheer around the hospice.
Trevor Wicks, Managing Director for Linden Homes Thames Valley, commented: “We thank everyone who generously donated a gift for Linden Homes’ appeal. Christmas is an exciting time for children and families, so we wanted to ensure that the local terminally ill children who are cared for by Helen & Douglas receive some presents while they are staying at the hospice. I’m sure the gifts will help to put smiles on their faces at what must otherwise be a difficult time for them and their families.”
Helen & Douglas House was delighted to receive the gifts for the children, of all ages. Shahzaadee Adam, Corporate Fundraising Executive from Helen & Douglas House, said: “Thank you so much to Linden Homes for choosing to support Helen & Douglas House in this way. These gifts will help make our Christmas celebrations extra special for the terminally ill children and their families that we support.”
