Further entertainment and days out can be enjoyed in nearby Aylesbury. Step back in time at Bucks County Museum and for the kids – young and old – explore the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery.

Less than 20 miles from Bicester is Banbury, a bustling market town set amidst the rolling hills of the north Cotswolds. Enjoy the atmospheric lanes and streets of the Old Town and Castle Quay shopping mall and take in some of the town’s history at the museum, located directly beside the Oxford Canal. The Reindeer Inn is a must-visit too, which houses the Globe Room and is where Oliver Cromwell reputedly planned the Battle of Edge Hill. Trying the local delicacy - Banbury Cake will also keep the foodies happy.
