Safe As Houses - Linden Homes Midlands Site Managers Take Pride In The Job
17 Sep 2014

Lifting hard hats aloft – Linden Homes site managers from two areas of the region have celebrated receiving a national industry award.

Kevin Bishop from Peterborough and Carl Haskell from Langford, Bedfordshire have both been honoured for their professionalism with a coveted national Pride in the Job Quality Award.

Kevin Bishop, who oversees the Saxon Gardens development at Huntingdon and Carl, from the Harvest Meadow site in Dunton, were recognised by judges on the National House Building Council’s programme for their leadership, technical expertise, robust health and safety management – and a certain X Factor.

Pride in the Job is one of house building’s most prestigious awards and for the last 33 years it has been run to strengthen standards in the industry and both Kevin and Carl attended a recent ceremony in Huntingdon where they each received their certificate.

They were selected from 15,000 entrants from around the country for a Quality Award.

While the ceremony marked the end of the award journey for Kevin, Carl will have to wait until the end of October to see if he progresses in the competition with a Seal of Excellence Award.

Linden Homes’ production director Brendan Blythe: “Competition for the NHBC awards is fierce. I am delighted for Kevin, Carl and their teams and that they have been recognised by the NHBC for the high quality of their work.”
