Ramsey Colts Football Development Gets Funding For New Clubhouse
23 Sep 2019

Top ten housebuilder, Linden Homes has contributed major funding towards the delivery of a new clubhouse for Ramsey Colts Football Development. The Colts have been seeking to deliver a purpose-built club house since their formation in 1995 and finally secured a grant via the Football Foundation Facilities Fund earlier this year after moving to a new ground on a long-term lease.

Linden Homes, whose St Thomas Park development is located within the town provided the funds as part of its contribution to the community in which it is building. The money was released early by the housebuilder to allow the Colts to raise their full share of the project funding costs and for the project to commence.

The modular clubhouse was assembled by Integra Buildings at their factory in Hull and delivered to the site in January 2019. The club has planned a ‘grand opening event’ on the 7th September to mark the new club house being finished on the inside as well.

Andrew Hodgson of Chairman of Ramsey Colts FD said: “We are extremely grateful to Linden Homes for releasing the funds to us earlier than they were required to do so. The money when added to the fundraising we had already undertaken made up the full percentage of funding which the Colts were required to raise before the project could commence under the terms of the Football Foundation grant. We were all absolutely delighted to have the project fully funded in time for the new club house to be completed inside and out for the 2019/20 season. The players can’t wait to start making the most of it. It will truly transform what we do here and we’ve already held our AGM in the new space.”

Karen Coulson, Sales and Marketing Director of Linden Homes Eastern said: “We are delighted to have contributed towards Ramsey Colts’ clubhouse, which I am sure will be enjoyed for many years to come. Investing in communities is something we at Linden Homes pride ourselves in, and I am delighted that we have provided so much value to the club. Ramsey has a wonderful close-knit community and rich culture, which is why so many couples and families want to move here.”

St Thomas Park situated in Ramsey offers a collection of two, three- and four-bedroom homes. With over 50% of the homes now sold interested buyers can find out more by calling 01480 809279 or visiting the sales and marketing suite (PE26 1JP) which is open daily 10am-5pm.
