Own A Piece Of Historic, Beautiful Hamsphire
22 Jul 2014

Hampshire has a long held reputation for harbouring the good things in life: Its countryside is quintessentially English; its pretty villages are iconic. It has lovely areas of coast and beautiful rural landscapes:- it boasts the New Forest and the rolling South Downs as well as striking towns and cities, like Winchester, with its extraordinary cathedral, and pretty Romsey.

And there is a very practical side to this county. It is perfect for the commuter, which means many of the beautiful Hampshire villages are within easy reach of road and rail links to the capital, to Southampton, Portsmouth and other commuter destinations.

Along the river Dever, just 6 miles north of Winchester lies the ancient village of Sutton Scotney. This great example of a pretty Hampshire village offers a pub, a shop and a great community feel, there are some outstanding schools nearby. And it’s excellently located for the commuter.

The village is close, but not too close, to the A303 to London and the west country, to the M3 (to Southampton and Portsmouth, or London) and the A34 (which leads up to the M4 and the Midlands).

Linden Homes currently has two homes available at its development known as Taylor’s Grange in Sutton Scotney. These homes, which have four bedrooms and five bedrooms respectively, have been carefully designed to fit in with the traditional feel of the village – while inside, they have been finished to a high specification. The kitchens and bathrooms are complete. The kitchen has fully fitted and guaranteed appliances: a washer/dryer, oven, hob, fridge/freezer and extractor fan.

Tina Chalk is the marketing manager at Linden Homes Southern:

“One of the two remaining Taylor’s Grange homes is the former show home. This is a four bedroom, semi-detached house that comes with curtains, flooring, light fittings, a wardrobe and garden furniture. The living room in this home has bi-fold doors which lead straight into the garden. The master bedroom and bedroom two both have ensuite bathrooms. There are also two parking spaces outside.”

For more room still, you could opt for the five bedroom detached home. This house has bi-fold doors leading from the living room to the garden and a second set from the kitchen to the garden. There is also a study and a utility room and upstairs, along with the five bedrooms, there are three bathrooms, (two ensuites and a family bathroom) while the master bedroom has its own dressing area.
