Leading housebuilder Linden Homes has been hailed by Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner MP Nick Hurd for its contemporary designed Orchard Grove development in Ruislip.
Mr Hurd visited the site on Bury Street on Friday 20th March to see how the popular homes had appealed to buyers. Consisting of 30 apartments and 36 houses, the development is 80% sold.
The Conservative MP, Minister for the Civil Society, was given a personal tour of the Orchard Grove development by the managing director of Linden Homes’ Chiltern, Darren Maddox, who discussed with him issues such as the Government’s new simplified planning policy and the New Buy scheme.
Mr Hurd said: “I am very impressed with the design of the development, these unique homes offer something different in the area and I’m sure the New Buy scheme will allow more people to climb onto the property ladder. It was also encouraging to hear how Linden Homes has used apprentices on this scheme.”
The development encapsulates village living yet is only half an hour from London and minutes from Ruislip High Street.
Darren Maddox said: “It was very encouraging to hear Mr Hurd’s comments about our development – of which we are very proud.
“We have tried hard to create something different at Orchard Grove so our development stands out yet fits in with the pretty surroundings of the green open space.
“As one of the country’s leading house builders, it is very important for us to meet policy-makers like Mr Hurd face-to-face to raise concerns, praise the good decisions, and work together to tackle Britain’s housing shortage.
“We are determined to play our part to the full with developments such as Orchard Grove which respect their surroundings, offer quality new homes, and really enhance the community.”
