New Home And Garden Are The Perfect Combination For Remote Worker Felicity
02 Aug 2021

Moving house and changing jobs in the middle of a pandemic has been plain sailing for civil servant Felicity Cooper – the proud owner of a new home, office and garden space she loves.

Green-fingered Felicity (33) is the first resident to move to Linden Homes’ Bracebridge Manor 120-home development near Lincoln, keen to be closer to family as well as having a versatile space in which to work, rest and play.

A keen gardener, one of her biggest joys in moving to a new home is the design which has allowed her to bring the outdoors in.

She said: “The style of the home allows me to make the maximum use of the space. I absolutely love the kitchen! It was so important to me to have a kitchen living space at the back where I can enjoy the garden and have a space that brings the Outdoors indoors!

“It’s so spacious, and it gives me chance to keep muddy paw prints on the tiled floors and not on the carpets. I also moved jobs during the pandemic and so I now work from home permanently - having a proper office space has been amazing! Somewhere comfortable that I want to spend time in - and organised for my working day but also somewhere I can shut the door on at the weekend and create that separation between home and work life.

“I love being outdoors and am very well known for always buying just ‘one more plant’. I love anything tropical and have lots of palms and bananas. I’ve loved creating the garden over the last few months and always find it relaxing to be out there doing something productive and creative after a long week. It’s a working progress, but I can see much colour already, and can sit outside at the weekends feeling as though I’m on holiday!

And because of her early interest in the development, Felicity was able to reserve her preferred plot - snapping up her new four-bedroom home before it was completed, and moving in with her mum who lives close by until its completion.

She added: “I had been thinking about moving for a while, and after so much time in the house over the last year, and the perspective that comes with the situation we’ve all been living through, it really made me realise how important it was to me to be closer to my family, and time to be brave and go for a fresh start!

“Bracebridge Manor was the perfect location for me to achieve those things, and knowing the build quality, I was really keen to go to a Linden Homes development. Moving during the pandemic didn’t prevent me from being able to do anything, and everyone was really careful to follow the guidelines with masks and covid measures in place. My huge thanks to the whole team.”
