While the pianist, dressed in a white dinner jacket, played elegant classical airs on the baby grand in the open plan kitchen/drawing room, the champagne flowed and the canapés circulated.
This wasn’t a smart drinks party in Knightsbridge – it was Linden Homes’ official launch of Bouverie Walk, their smart new development set in one of the loveliest parts of historic Salisbury.
Bouverie Walk, on the Old Blandford Road and close to some of the most beautiful scenery Britain has to offer, consists of just thirteen elegant 3, 4 and 5 bedroom detached homes in this quiet corner of Harnham – a part of the city famous for its picturesque water meadows immortalized by landscape artist John Constable.
Not surprisingly, interest in these homes has been very high: Bouverie Walk has already stirred up a fair amount of excitement.
These very smart homes seem to have struck a chord with people who aren’t exactly downsizing, but are looking for something more manageable – a new build home that doesn’t demand expensive and frequent maintenance; with a garden that is attractive and easy to keep that way. These homes offer convenient elegance.
It’s expected that the first homes will be ready to move in to by November of this year.
If you have seen Bouverie Walk - or looked at the pictures of the show home on the website (www.lindenhomes.co.uk) - and would love to live somewhere like this, but dread the thought of moving, there are several ways Linden Homes can help.
Perhaps the most practical help anyone can give you at this stage is an offer to sell your existing home for you: No estate agents; no heart-breaking property chains. That would certainly ease some of the burden of moving.
Linden Homes’ Part Exchange scheme* will take care of your old home – effectively Linden Homes will have it valued and then make you an offer. Once this has been agreed, you can go ahead and concentrate on your new home at Bouverie Walk while Linden deals with your old home, the estate agents and their fees.
To find out more about re-locating to Bouverie Walk or to arrange to see the show home, please call Linden Homes to make an appointment on 0845 603 1707.
