Strong land bank promises more developments from Linden Homes

Award winning housebuilder, Linden Homes has announced the new managing director of its South region. Phil Chapman has joined to lead the region of Linden Homes which covers Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey and West Sussex. Joining the team from Taylor Wimpey, where he was managing director looking after sites across West London, Phil has been brought on board to help drive the business forward across the central southern counties.

Phil who brings 25 years of expertise in delivering new homes will be reporting into divisional managing director, Andrew Hammond, and will be responsible for overseeing operations from land through to customer service.

Attracted to Linden Homes for its brand reputation, Phil is most enthused about the direction the business is heading. He commented: “I have joined at a time when the business has gone through a period of change but is now looking forward and focused on streamlining how it can best deliver much needed quality homes. There is a clear vision for the Galliford Try business and for Linden Homes as the housebuilding operation; there is lots of opportunity to help shape the way the business is run. I am particularly excited about empowering the team to work together and celebrate successes over the coming months and years.”

He continued: “We have an extremely healthy land bank across the South region which is poised to deliver hundreds of much needed homes to the people of Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset and West Sussex and I am looking forward to leading the team in delivering these high quality homes and developments.”

With sites including Scholars Grange in Swanmore and Oaklands in Horsham, Phil will be tasked with driving the Linden Homes South portfolio forward including a large site in Boorley Green and Havant amongst other developments across the central southern counties.

Linden Homes’ divisional managing director, Andrew Hammond commented: “Phil is going to be a great asset to the team and joins at a point when we are looking to continue our delivery of quality homes and further improving our customer journey whilst bolstering our company’s profile in the areas in which we operate. His emphasis on teamwork and putting the customer first will resonate well for our team delivering projects across the South.”

In his free time, Phil is a keen athlete and coaches badminton. He lives in Fleet, Hampshire with his wife and two daughters who are also keen badminton players.
