AROUND four million of us regularly work from home, according to statistics, which reveal a 13 per cent rise in the trend during the past five years.
As flexible working becomes increasingly popular among commuters with computers and parents working on a part-time basis – more and more workers and those who are self-employed are placing a priority on their work/life balance.
And helping the area’s homeworkers to have greater control over their lives is Linden Homes – which recognises the needs of people with busy lifestyles.
The survey, carried out by the TUC earlier this year, shows a 27 per cent rise in the number of men and woman who usually work from home in the East Midlands, and a massive 51 per cent rise in the East of England.
