AWARD-WINNING Linden Homes has seen a healthy response to its one-stop-shop surgery for first time buyers looking to move in Peterborough.
At the first event of its kind, the surgery at the White Willows @ Burghfield Place development near Gunthorpe opened its doors to those looking to find out how step onto the housing ladder.
Professionals and experts dealing in law, money matters and the Government Help To Buy scheme were on hand to guide potential buyers through the purchasing process and financial arrangements associated with buying a new home.
This included a step-by-step explanation of the popular Help to Buy scheme, where purchasers need just a five per cent deposit to secure their dream home.
A number of customers have already bought through the scheme – including Mandy and Alan Bartlett, who were the first in the company to use the incentive, and purchased a property at Burghfield Place.
Linden Homes sales director Chris Roads said: “We were really pleased with how the event went and with the number of visitors who were genuinely looking to move to our development through the first time buyer incentives.
“The feedback from those who attended was that they liked the fact they were able to get all the financial information and professional advice they needed in one place at one time. We hope to stage more events of this kind in the coming weeks and months.”
White Willows @ Burghfield Place boasts 36 two, three and four-bedroom homes – including for the first time at this development, a range of three-bedroom detached styles.
Located at the front of the current development off Manor Drive, many of the homes on the new phase will overlook green open space on the outskirts of the city centre.
