Linden Homes Finance Director Fraser Has Long Locks Lopped Off For Charity
22 Mar 2016

Comedians David Walliams may have swam the River Thames and Eddie Izzard run 27 marathons in as many days – but Linden Homes Midlands have their own Sport Relief hero!

The epic feat by the company’s finance director Fraser Hopes did not involve swimming, walking or running great distances. It started and ended with a pair of scissors.

After being teased by fellow directors and staff at the developer’s Peterborough-based head office, Fraser agreed to go all ‘Samson’ and have his long locks lopped off for Sport Relief.

An audience gathered as the cash rolled in and hit the heady amount of £500, which meant a hairy Grade 1 shaving for Fraser.

He said: “I last had my hair cut just over two and a half years ago. I grew it as one last chance to re-live my youth and have long hair before Old Father Time makes it impossible.

“So after proving I could do it, and to save my grown up kids from further embarrassment, I decided to have it cut off – but to raise money for Sport Relief.”

Clean-cut Fraser’s mop chop has so far raised over £900 through online and other donations. There is still time to sponsor him at https://www.justgiving.com/FraserHopesMopChop/

And as for growing it again, “No plans, but never say never,” said Fraser.
