Torquay Cricket Club has just crowned Sam Carpenter, 12, with the Linden Homes cup, for his excellent work on the cricket field.
Linden Homes supported the junior section of the club again this season. Speaking about his win, Sam Carpenter from Torquay, said: “I was so pleased to win the Linden Homes cup. I love playing cricket and feel very proud to have won this award.”

Inspiring the younger players really appealed to us; their enthusiasm for the sport is excellent and we have enjoyed following their matches – there are some very talented players.”

Torquay Cricket Club has been in existence for 163 years, there are currently five senior teams, two ladies teams and six junior teams and its ground is situated near to Torquay’s seafront.
