Linden Homes' Appointment Strengthens Strategic Land Mission
10 Apr 2014

Linden Homes has appointed a new Strategic Land and Planning Manager with responsibility for the North of England.

Jennifer Winyard joins the award-winning housebuilder having spent seven years at planning and design consultancy Turleys Associates. She has an MSc in Town and Country Planning, as well as being a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

She is actively involved in the property sector as chair of the Yorkshire and North East branch of Women in Property, as well as vice-chair of the RTPI Yorkshire Regional Activities Committee and a member of its Regional Management Board.

Jennifer (30), who lives in Leeds, is based at the Linden Homes North regional offices in Hessle, Yorkshire, and will report into Divisional Managing Director Tom Nicholson.

She is responsible for identifying new land opportunities and securing planning on sites within the existing strategic land portfolio.

Jennifer said: “Joining Linden Homes was a fantastic prospect that I simply couldn’t turn down. I’m relishing the challenge of finding new sites and bringing them forward as opportunities to develop.

“My design and architecture background also suits a housebuilder which enjoys such a high reputation for delivering individually designed homes with market-leading attention to detail and character.”

She replaces Andy Byrne who is moving to become Land Director at Linden Homes North. Prior to his strategic role, Andy gained 15 years’ valuable experience of working as a North East Lincolnshire Council planning officer and senior land manager at another major house builder.

He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and has been involved in the acquisition and delivery of a wide range of schemes across the Midlands, Yorkshire and North West.

Tom Nicholson said: “We’re very pleased to have Jennifer on board as such as active member of the property and development profession. She will be a real asset as we set our sights on further growth.

“Her job will be to identify and secure land where Linden Homes can sustainably develop the high quality homes that the UK desperately needs for families and the wider economy.”
