Linden Homes Western has acquired two fantastic new development sites this year in Wickwar and Brockworth in Gloucestershire.
Located on the southern edge of the village of Wickwar – just off Sodbury Road and Horwood Lane – Saxon Gate will feature 90 homes, including 58 properties for sale and 32 affordable homes in a peaceful location, just four and a half miles from Chipping Sodbury, Wotton-under-Edge and Yate.
Rachael Humphreys, head of land and planning at Linden Homes Western, commented: “We bought the land at Wickwar this year and we’ll be submitting a reserved matters application shortly. Not only will Saxon Gate provide much needed housing in the area, but it will contribute over £507,000 to the local community in s106 payments.”
Linden Homes has also bought a great site in Brockworth, near Gloucester that will provide 225 new homes, including 62 affordable properties, a children’s play park and a community orchard.
Rachel commented: “A reserved matters application has been submitted and we’re looking forward to starting on site. It’s a brilliant location, just off Court Road, and boasts easy access to junction 11a on the M5, so we’re expecting to prove very popular with homebuyers – especially families and professionals.”
The leading housebuilder is already building in the county at Cleeve View in Bishop’s Cleeve, an established development of three, four and five bedroom homes, and at Falfield Grange in Falfield.
Falfield Grange is due to launch later in the year and is in a stunning rural setting, just off junction 14 on the M5. The development will feature 85 well-designed three, four and five bedroom homes, including 30 that will be affordable.
Rachael added: “We also have some exciting new developments in Wiltshire this year; we have a healthy land supply and a great team helping us to keep up with the demand. Our region is always on the look out for land opportunities in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire and Somerset, with a particular focus on 100-200 unit schemes in and around Bristol.”
