Land Acquired At Linden Homes South West

Linden Homes South West has had a fruitful few months securing land deals, adding a further two sites to the region’s landbank.

Andrew Rowe, land and planning director at Linden Homes commented: “It’s been a busy time for us and we’re delighted to have purchased two fantastic new sites in Wadebridge and Northam, especially as they’re both located in stunning areas, near the water. The whole team pulled together to help achieve these acquisitions and they will be exciting projects to build.”

The Wadebridge development is situated off Higher Trenant Road in north Cornwall, near the Camel estuary, and will provide 93 new homes, with 25 per cent classed as affordable housing. A reserved matters application has been submitted for two, three and four bedroom properties, and work is due to start in 2020.

This month, Linden Homes bought a spectacular site off Bay View Road in Northam, in a beautiful part of north Devon, overlooking the bay. The development will comprise 130 homes, with 22 per cent affordable housing, land for a new school, and it benefits from outline planning permission.

Andrew added: “We will be submitting a reserved matters application this winter and we hope to start work next year. We now have a healthy supply of land and a great team helping us to keep up with the demand. Our region is always on the look out for land opportunities in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, with a particular focus on 100-250 unit schemes in commuting distance of Exeter.”
