With the yellow jersey of the Tour De France safely washed and ironed for another year, keen cyclists from Linden Homes North are keeping the Sportive spirit going in Yorkshire.
A team from the Hessle-based developer will be using pedal power to boost funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research next month, when they saddle up for the Selby Three Swans Sportive.
Land director Andy Byrne (pictured) and colleagues from the land department are among those taking part in the flat cycling event aimed at all the family.
Andy, who took part in the Yorkshire Pedathlon earlier this year, said: “We were looking for another enjoyable challenge to help raise funds for a local good cause, and thought this sportive would be perfect.
“As a company which is expanding throughout the region, it is important to us to support good causes close to home.”
The Selby Three Swans Sportive on Sunday 6 September gives riders the chance to complete a 30, 66 or 106 mile route, with a feeding stations along the way and a goodie bag for everyone taking part.
