House Builder Opens Its Doors To The Future Of The Property Industry

The 19th – 24th March marked Open Doors week, a national initiative that encourages young people all over the country to go and see for themselves the many intricate details and practices that take place on a live construction site.

Leading house builder Linden Homes East Yorkshire was thrilled to open the doors to its Woodland Croft development in Hessle, where the final few homes are now for sale.

A group of Year 10 students from Hessle High School attended the three and four-bedroom homes development to find out more about the work that takes place behind the scenes to deliver the housebuilder’s award-winning homes.

The housebuilder was delighted to engage with the students, who enjoyed a tour of Woodland Croft, and hearing from different members of the team in the process.

Experts from the development team were on hand to show the students around, answer their questions and queries, and open their eyes to the many different opportunities available to them in the sector – wherever their strengths may lie.

Linden Homes East Yorkshire sales director Steve Woomble said: “We were delighted to be involved with the Open Doors event and to show case some of the work we do within the house building and construction industry to enthusiastic students who are thinking about their own future careers, possibly in the property sector.

“Huge thanks to everyone from the Linden Homes team who played a part in the day and supported the students in their quest to find out more about our industry.”

Linden Homes is committed to encouraging more young talent into the sector, and ensuring young people have the opportunity to find their feet and discover their talents as part of the Linden Homes team. The housebuilder’s Management Trainee scheme allows school leavers to earn and learn simultaneously, gaining practical experience in their chosen department whilst working towards a relevant qualification. Open Doors Week gave aspiring young talent the perfect platform to find out more about the scheme and the opportunities available to them.
