From Old Home To New In Just 10 Weeks! Part Exchange Joy For Huntingdon Family
18 Feb 2015

When Matt and Lisa Seavers began their search for a new family home - they were concerned their existing property wouldn’t sell for its value, and miss out on a chance to buy new.

However, thanks to some forward planning, and the Linden Homes Midlands part exchange scheme, the couple and their two young children are enjoying life in their brand new four-bedroom home – selling their existing 1960s semi in Huntingdon and moving to their spacious house in Saxon Gardens within just 10 weeks.

Matt (35) who works as a project engineer said: “I first saw the initial groundwork and then looked up the development on the Internet. I signed up for news early on, as I had been looking around at what was available in the area for a while. The development is not far from our old address and is close to my work.”

Associate study manager Lisa (35) says the development is perfectly placed for four-year-old daughter Bella’s school and two-year-old Isaac’s nursery – as well as the many leisure and social amenities Huntingdon has to offer.

And it was thanks to part exchange that the family were able to move and reap the benefits of a new home within a short space of time.

Matt explained: “The part exchange scheme was the main reason that we chose to buy the house. The thought of trying to sell our home and keep it tidy for an unknown length of time with our two children was not something we were interested in.

“Overall the sale took about 10 weeks, from putting down our deposit to moving in. The fact that Linden Homes bought our existing house meant that we got a good price for our house and didn’t have to enlist an estate agent or worry about trying to sell.

“It meant we could move forward with less stress. It also meant that when we exchanged, we used a License to Occupy meaning that we could transition from our old house into the new one over the course of a couple of days. Again, this was much less stressful with our two children and two cats to move with us. We simply wouldn't have been able to manage to move without that.”

And they are so happy with their new home that they would be happy to recommend Linden Homes to a friend.

The Saxon Gardens development at California Road is conveniently located just a mile from Huntingdon town centre, yet within touching distance of the Cambridgeshire countryside.

Half (50 per cent) of the planned 180 homes have already been reserved fresh from the drawing board – which means the earliest home hunters now have the chance to buy at the development is for a summer 2015 completion.

The Saxon Gardens show home and sales and marketing suite are open daily from 10.30am until 5pm. Alternatively, contact the sales team on 08444 175922. A range of two and three bedroom homes are currently available.
