Five reservations were made in quick time at Honeystones, the development of new homes in Bourton-on-the-Water which attracted more than 80 people to its opening weekend.
The collection of 50 three, four and five-bedroom private houses from award-winning Linden Homes was bustling with customers looking around the newly launched show home and the marketing suite.
Honeystones is just off Station Road; on one side a stroll from the centre of the bustling village of Bourton-on-the-Water – known as the Venice of the Cotswolds for its bridges over the River Windrush – and green countryside and woodlands on the other.
Steve Garton, sales and marketing director at Linden Homes Thames Valley, said: “Because of its location and quality, we knew the opening of Honeystones would be busy. But even we were surprised by the demand.
“When we were designing Honeystones, we were very careful to create something that reflected the local architecture with the choice of stone, proportions and even some of the internal fixtures and fittings. I think that’s really caught the imagination.
“When you add in the location of Bourton-on-the-Water, which is a very popular destination, and the wider attractions of the area, we think sales are likely to accelerate. We’d advise people to get in touch now so as not to miss out on their first choice.”
Among the properties to be immediately snapped up were both the show home and the marketing suite, although they will remain open for visitors to view and get a taste of the traditional architecture that cocoons the contemporary interiors.
The interior design of the four-bedroom show home, in the Bybrook style, echoes its rural surroundings with green accent colours alongside flashes of contemporary style for a modern feel.
Honeystones will be a green and leafy neighbourhood featuring traditionally-built dry stone walls, retained historic hedgerows, a pair of large, grassy open spaces and a wildlife pond.
In common with all Linden Homes’ developments, each property at Honeystones also comes with a 10-year NHBC warranty for peace of mind, as well as a two-year customer care warranty.
For commuting and travelling further afield, residents will have the benefit of easy access to the A429 Fosse Way, a key route which links up with via the A40 to the M5 in the west and reaches the M40 to the north.
