First Time Buyers Given Helping Hand To Make The Move In 2014 (Midlands)
08 Jan 2014

WITH latest figures suggesting that first time buyers are flooding back to the market – it seems that the New Year may mean a new start for those looking to step onto the housing ladder.

The housing recovery is gaining momentum, with statistics from the Council of Mortgage Lenders (December 2013) revealing mortgage lending for first time buyers is the highest since 2007 (48 per cent).

This, coupled with some fantastic money saving incentives, means that first time buyers are back in the driving seat.

And for many, the start of a New Year and search for a dream home can begin with Linden Homes.

Whether you are looking for something chic and stylish, practical and family friendly or smaller and less maintenance, the award-winning developer’s portfolio offers something for everyone.

From stylish apartments to traditional four-bedroom properties, a range of homes is currently being built at locations across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.

Since the introduction of the Government-backed Help to Buy incentive in April 2013 – numerous customers; first time buyers and existing homeowners, have used the scheme to secure their new home.

Here’s how it works:

  • It is available on new build homes up to a maximum of £600,000.
  • A deposit of just five per cent is required.
  • The government will lend buyers up to 20 per cent of the value of your property through an equity loan, which can be repaid at any time or on the sale of the home.
  • Buyers will only need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage from a bank or building society.

Building at a series of new developments in Leicester, Stamford, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire is also due to begin in early 2014. Please visit the website to register your interest.
