With preparations to welcome Northstowe’s first residents well under way, a pre-launch of ‘The Boulevards’, Linden Homes’ contribution to Britain’s biggest new town, has taken place in Cambridgeshire.
Held at Bidwells estate agents, the pre-launch saw over 18 people voice their interest in one of the 271 homes Linden Homes is building at Northstowe, the UK’s largest new development since Milton Keynes in 1967, with one home already reserved.
Phase one of Northstowe will introduce a new primary school, five play areas, a pop-up café and a self-service micro-library, along with 1,500 new homes.
The Boulevards, expected to launch in September 2017, is set to consist of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes on the eastern corner of Longstanton’s regenerated golf course.
The new homes will be available to purchase off-plan when the sales and marketing suite opens later this year.
Roseanne Bullen, regional sales and marketing manager at Linden Homes Eastern, commented on the number of people already registering an interest in homes at The Boulevards:
“It was great to meet some of the pre-launch attendees and chat to them about the homes at The Boulevards. We were able to give them a real insight into the development’s potential and the value it’s adding to their local area, and its lovely to see that there is already real interest in the homes available.
“Once launched, we expect to sell all 271 homes over the course of the next two years, based on the extremely high interest rate in homes on site.”
The new homes also come with a range of financial incentives: buyers only require a five per cent deposit with a 20 per cent government loan and 75 per cent mortgage using the Help to Buy Scheme.
Part Exchange, enabling buyers to exchange their existing home for up to 70% of its original market price, and Assisted Move, which sees Linden Homes handle estate agent liaison, will also both be available at The Boulevards.
