The countdown to Christmas has started early for the East Riding village of Cherry Burton – with Linden Homes North offering a helping hand with the festivities.
As part of its on going commitment to supporting local communities and good causes, the developer has ‘sponsored’ a Christmas tree as part of a project by The Friends of St Michael’s Church to get creative with their decorations.
The Church has enlisted its own little helpers from Cherry Burton Primary School to decorate a series of trees, bought with support from local businesses, to adorn the church at Christmas time.
The youngsters are being invited to put their efforts into producing a Best Dressed Christmas Tree – including using the Linden Homes logo to decorate the tree!
Prizes will be given for the best tree, and each child taking part will receive a prize.
Linden Homes North sales manager Julie Hubbard said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to get involved with such a great idea that will benefit the whole community – particularly in the run up to Christmas.
“We look forward to seeing the wonderfully decorated trees and wish all the children the best of luck with the project.”
Linden Homes is currently building at a number of developments in East Riding.
Meanwhile, the Hessle-based housebuilder is continuing its support of young people in the area with a £100 donation to the Yorkshire branch of Variety, the Children’s Charity – which supports sick, disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the region.
The donation was made by Linden Homes North at the recent Yorkshire Residential Property Awards 2015.
