THE latest national new homes survey has revealed that more than nine out of 10 customers are happy to recommend their builder to a friend.
According to the National New Homes Survey, NHBC’s industry survey of homeowners, 91 per cent of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of their home – and the same number would be happy to recommend a friend.
These figures show that developers continue to improve their customer satisfaction to the highest level since the survey began eight years ago.
The report reveals that both these results have increased by one percentage point on last year, which is welcome news for award-winning regional house builder, Linden Homes.
Chris Roads, sales director, said: “This survey does show that the industry continues to achieve very high levels of customer satisfaction, despite the tough market and trading conditions.
“We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and our own recommend a friend referrals within the Midlands region just about match these national statistics.”
Linden Homes – which has its regional head office in Peterborough - currently operates a successful incentive that rewards ‘ambassadors’ for recommending the company to new customers.
Independent research suggests that 90 per cent of Linden Homes customers surveyed would be happy to recommend a friend.
Under the Refer A Friend scheme, the purchaser and the person recommending will each receive a £1,000 voucher as a thank you.
One of the most recent customers to benefit is Mary Smith. She was so impressed with her home that she was happy to recommend Linden to complete strangers at a local coffee shop!
She said: “I overheard some customers who were browsing property details from an estate agents, and I tentatively mentioned that I had moved into Linden Homes’ nearby development and said how fantastic the new homes and the customer service were.
A few weeks after that, they had reserved and are now my neighbours!”
Linden Homes is currently building in Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.
