CHILDREN from Yarborough Primary School have been treated to an extra curricular lesson – with house building appearing on the timetable!
A total of 90 Grimsby youngsters and their teachers received a special invitation from Linden Homes to see just what goes into building a new housing development.
And where better to get an insight than at the popular Freshney Green development, which continues to evolve virtually on their doorstep.
Three groups of children – kitted out in high visibility vests and hard hats - visited the development as a pre-half term treat to find out about how homes are built and sold, with expert guidance from Linden Homes site manager John Grest and sales executive Alex Rymer.
John said: “We held a series of visits for the children, who really seemed to enjoy getting kitted out in the safety wear and finding out a little about the development many of them see from a distance day in, day out - and what goes in to building new homes.
“Linden Homes has a longstanding partnership with the school, and it is always our pleasure to offer our assistance and raise our profile within the community when we have such a great opportunity as this.
A selection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes is currently available at the development – some of which are ready to move into now and others that are due for completion this spring/summer.
