Aiming High! Developer Offers Fundraising Youngsters Charity Challenge 'leg Up'

When it comes to fundraising, entrepreneurial youngsters from Kilinghall CE Primary School are well on track to meeting their tall order buying their own climbing wall!

Children from all age groups have taken charity challenges into their own hands during the past few months, and have raised almost £2,500 to pay for the exciting piece of equipment for the school.

Organising and taking part in a huge sponsored event, in conjunction with ‘Sports for Schools’, as well as planning the school’s Christmas Fair, have seen the children boost the climbing wall coffers – which have been topped up by a contribution of £250 from Linden Homes West Yorkshire. The children have not only raised nearly £2000 through their endeavours they have also contributed £800 to support GB athletes.

Linden Homes West Yorkshire sales director Gina Holmes said: “We are delighted to be able to offer a donation to the school to enable the children to meet their goal of having a climbing wall installed. We hope it will provide them with hours of fun and activity.”

Killinghall CE Primary School head teacher Sarah Bassitt added: “The children have worked so very hard to raise a substantial sum of money for something which we hope will be enjoyed by current pupils and generations of our children to come. Our thanks to Linden Homes for their support.”

LHWY is currently building a range of four and five bedroom homes at the nearby Cricketer’s View development, which is popular with families – both because of its style of housing and perfect positioning close to many local amenities.

The sales and marketing suite and show home are open from Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 5pm. For more details about the development and to find out more about part exchange and Help to Buy, call the sales team on 01423 582996.
