Within the centre of town itself, you’ll find a good range of high street and independent shops, theatres and places to eat and drink.

Around 35 miles away is popular and historic city of Winchester. Tourists flock from all corners of the UK to visit here and to take in its history and cathedral. You’ll find museums, the remains of a 12th century castle and a Grade II listed restored water mill. There is a popular park, ideal for walks with the family or even a picnic in the summer. And if you want to visit the shops, you’ll find a choice of high street brands alongside independent names, with a good number of places to eat and drink if you want to stop for a little while.

Situated 26 miles south of home is the port city of Southampton. Home to a large choice of shops including department stores, restaurants for all tastes and budgets and plenty of bars, pubs and clubs to socialise in, this is a great place for a day trip with family or friends. Southampton has a thriving live performance scene, so those who love watching live bands or plays will always find a venue to spend a few hours in. Transport and travel

Commuters searching for new builds in Wiltshire have a good choice of ‘A’ roads close to the development. The A36, A30, A303 and A338 can all be reached easily, and allow for journeys to locations including Bath (40 miles), Southampton (31 miles), Andover (18 miles) and Basingstoke (41 miles).
