Wokingham Ranks Top Of The Class In Berkshire
27 Feb 2018

With its proximity to the capital, abundance of lifestyle benefits and a large number of residents who consider themselves to be in good health, it’s no wonder that the historic Berkshire town has gained a top ten spot in the Halifax Quality of Life Survey , deeming itself as one of the best and most ‘healthiest’ places to live in the country.

These aren’t the only highly acclaimed accolades to be held by Wokingham, as the area also tops the charts as the best town for education in the county with 92 per cent of primary schools rating good or outstanding, according to education inspectors, Ofsted .

With this pull of schools in mind, housebuilder Linden Homes, has seen a dramatic increase in families wishing to move to the area:

Amie Louise Emery, Sales and Marketing Director at Linden Homes, said: “Wokingham has really risen through the ranks over recent years with one of the greatest benefits of them all being the access to top rated education establishments. The variety of popular schools cater for children of all ages, from primary right through to sixth form, providing assurance that children in the area will receive a fantastic level of education throughout their school years.

“We’ve found that the attraction of the top-rated schools has drawn a great number of families to the area looking to set roots nearby these establishments whilst having the benefits of the other fantastic lifestyle amenities in the area.

“Our Copsewood development in Wokingham is nearby some of these excellent education facilities including Emmbrook Junior School and The Hawthorns Primary School. For secondary schools, the popular Holt Girls Secondary School, The Boy’s Forest School Academy, and Emmbrook Secondary School and Sixth Form are also within easy reach.”

Just a mile from the heart of Wokingham, Copsewood is a stunning development comprising of a selection of two-bedroom apartments and three, four and five-bedroom houses. The spacious houses are perfect for growing families but it’s not just the space inside that counts as over 40% of the development offering open space for the new community to enjoy.

Whilst most homes benefit from two car parking spaces, the development is also just 1.9 miles from Wokingham train station offering regular services to London Paddington in just 47 minutes.
