A staggering £21,000 has been raised by staff and LHWY partners (including subcontractors, agents, supply chain) during the past 12 months for the developer’s chosen charity; Macmillan Cancer Support.
According to the charity, this amount could fund a nurse for eight months to provide end of life care to patients where needed. According to the charity, this amount could fund a nurse for eight months to provide end of life care to patients where needed.
The total is the result of a year-long partnership between the housebuilder and the charity – with fundraising events ranging from the glamourous to the imaginative.
Linden Homes West Yorkshire managing director Scott Stothard said: “We have had a fantastic year of fundraising for such a worthy cause, and everyone has thrown themselves into raising as much money as possible in a wide variety of ways. I am very proud of what has been achieved.”
A cheque for the fundraising was recently presented to Matt Jameson, senior fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support. He said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Linden Homes West Yorkshire who have helped to raise a staggering amount of money for Macmillan.
“From everyone in the office to the sites across the region, I have been so pleased to see everyone within the organisation take fundraising in their stride and do their utmost to raise funds for people affected by cancer.”
Linden Homes West Yorkshire has decided to continue its partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support as its chosen charity for 2019.
