With school costs rising, Pinhoe Primary School reached out to a local housebuilder for help in funding its annual Christmas tree.
Linden Homes donated the large tree in advance of the school’s Christmas Fair, so it could be enjoyed by pupils, staff and parents in the lead up to the festive period.
Katherine Hair from Pinhoe Primary School’s PTFA commented: “While a Christmas tree is not a necessity for our school, it really helps everyone get into the Christmas spirit. It’s difficult for us to justify spending the school’s money on it or to ask families for donations, especially with costs rising, so we’re very grateful for the support from Linden Homes. We’re thrilled with the tree and it looked brilliant at the Christmas Fair.”
Angie Strang from Linden Homes commented: “It was lovely to see the tree beautifully dressed and to meet the pupils at Pinhoe Primary School. PTFAs around the UK do fantastic work, donating their time to create fun events and alleviate costs from the school – we were pleased to help and it took me back to when I was fundraising on the PTFA.”
