On Your Marks, Get Set, Bake! House Building Staff Do Their Baking Bit For Charity

FORGET the Great British Bake Off – aspiring Mary Berrys from Linden Homes have been cooking up some smashing sponges and perfect pastries of their own.

Staff from the company’s Peterborough head office have been selling their cakes and bakes to boost charity coffers for Macmillan, as part of their contribution towards the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Star bakers for the day at Linden Homes were Janice Browne, Maria Smith and Sam Boylan who tempted colleagues with their selection of sweet treats – raising an estimated £150 for the cancer support charity.

Coffee morning organiser Janice said: “It was a really enjoyable morning and our huge thanks to all the staff who supported the event.”

No strangers to fundraising, Linden Homes have recently presented a cheque for just over £4,000 to the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall hospice appeal in Peterborough through a number of staff events.
