New Show Home Inspires Househunters At Allingham Mews
02 Feb 2015

A brand new show home is offering fresh inspiration to househunters at award-winning Linden Homes’ Allingham Mews development in the Hampshire village of Odiham.

The exclusive collection is a courtyard arrangement of high quality properties, nestled between the traditional English high street and a 12th century deer park.

The homes’ architecture honours the local historic buildings that have earned Odiham its well-deserved Conservation Area status, while inside they boast hi-spec interiors all set for 21st century living.

The new, freshly dressed show home is a three-bedroom semi-detached property in the Barnard style ranging across a roomy 1,416 square feet (131.57 square metres).

Arriving to a peaceful courtyard atmosphere, visitors are presented with a cheerful facade of traditional Hampshire brick inlaid with wooden sash windows and finished with a handsome bay window to draw light into the airy living room downstairs.

Entering the hall through the smart, stone-framed front door, visitors pass the living room on the left and the stairs and cloakroom on the right. A broad, open plan kitchen/diner is at the end of the hall with French windows leading invitingly out onto the freshly turfed garden.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has its own en suite, and a large cupboard off the landing provides useful storage for the household. The price includes flooring throughout and a kitchen fitted with stylish, integrated appliances.

The rooms’ designs came from Richard Ornelas at Claude Hooper Interiors, who explained: “We wanted to create an aspirational look to match the quality of the homes, and also hint in the background towards a sense of the rural, village surroundings.

“The arrangements are simple but sophisticated in order to conjure an attainable design that offers inspiration to the show home’s visitors, particularly families. We’ve used in-vogue items within a subtle cream palate, to give a quite classic look.

“The beauty of new-build properties is that they are a blank slate ready to be transformed into a home, and I hope we’ve given househunters plenty of ideas.”

In common with all Linden Homes’ developments, each property comes with a 10-year NHBC warranty for peace of mind, as well as a two-year customer care warranty.

Linden Homes Guildford’s sales and marketing director, Natalie Flint, said: “People can see for themselves how attractive the surrounding area is, and I think the interior design and exterior architecture of the new show home matches that quality.

“People have been looking at Odiham for quite a while waiting for the right moment and, for many, Allingham Mews is now the perfect opportunity. Come and see our show home to get the full picture.”

As well as the convenience of Odiham’s well-appointed high street with its delightful range of charming shops, pubs and restaurants, the village enjoys excellent commuter links via the M3 and M4, with direct train services into London Waterloo in under an hour from nearby Hook and Winchfield railway stations.

To the west lies Basingstoke and to the north is Reading; both with an array of shopping, dining and entertainment. To the south rolls out the glorious South Downs National Park.
