Developer Linden Homes West Yorkshire has boosted Macmillan Cancer Support funds by a staggering £33,500 – following its latest gala dinner and dance in aid of the chosen charity.
The amazing total raised from one generous and glittering evening; from raffles, auctions and donations, takes the total raised by the company since January 2018 to an impressive £54,500.
Linden Homes West Yorkshire smashed last year’s fundraising total in just one night by holding a Charity Ball at Leeds Marriott. Some 270 people attended the glitzy event including Linden Homes staff and partners, subcontractors, suppliers, agents and consultants.
Earlier this year, a cheque for a whopping £21,000 - raised by staff and LHWY partners (including subcontractors, agents, supply chain) – was presented to the charity.
Matt Jameson, Senior Fundraising Manager said: “It was a pleasure to part of the incredible charity dinner hosted by Linden Homes West Yorkshire which again has raised a staggering amount of money.
This partnership now in its second year has gone from strength to strength with all staff at Linden Homes raising the bar and supporting in any way they can. Without the support of businesses like Linden Homes we would be able to be there when people need us the most, whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.”
The ongoing support for the charity has seen many people across the business get involved with fundraising events ranging from the glamourous to the imaginative.
Scott Stothard, Managing Director for Linden Homes West Yorkshire said: “It was a truly fantastic evening and thanks to the generosity of those attending and the donation of some wonderful auction prizes we were able to raise a staggering amount of money on the evening for such a wonderful cause.
“This amazing amount of money is a continuation of our already fantastic fundraising - everyone has thrown themselves into raising as much money as possible.”
