Top 10 housebuilder, Linden Homes has acquired land across its Western and Midlands regions for the potential development of 645 new homes. Linden Homes Western has secured two new development sites in Wickwar and Brockworth in Gloucestershire, whilst its Midlands team has obtained land worth £15 million across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire.
Located on the edge of the village of Wickwar, Saxon Gate will feature 90 homes, including 58 open market and 32 affordable homes. The development will also contribute over £500,000 to the local community. Linden Homes Western, based in Bristol, has also bought a larger site in Brockworth, near Gloucester that will provide 225 new homes, including 62 affordable properties, a children’s play park and a community orchard.
Neighbouring business unit, Linden Homes Midlands, has completed deals for land across locations in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, and Lincolnshire which are expected to offer 330 two, three and four-bedroom new homes, with first properties completed by end of 2019.
Mepal Road in Sutton near Ely will provide 77 family homes, with ground works due to start imminently, the first homes are due for completion in November. Land has also been acquired at Lincolnshire village, Deeping St James near Peterborough which upon planning approval, work on the 145 new homes will begin in the summer. The Cardington area of Bedford will also see 108 homes being built, with construction anticipated to start in May.
